SEED students
RISE to the occasion

SEED ensures student success with an outstanding college preparatory curriculum.

Our highly qualified staff delivers rigorous instruction aligned with the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards. Students receive personalized attention to assist them in their academic and social growth and are assigned an advisor to help guide and support them throughout the school year.

As a Title 1 school, SEED Maryland is constantly expanding and diversifying the curriculum and educational offerings to students. We have the fundamental belief that if we set high expectations for all of our students, they will rise to the challenge with the support system that has been built into the culture of SEED Maryland.

At SEED, we strive to meet every student's needs to ensure they thrive and succeed including in our special education program.

Meet the Academic Leadership Team

  • Dr. Miller

    DIRECTOR OF ACADEMICS

Our academic team is dedicated to assisting our students every step of the way. As a premier institution, we pride ourselves on providing rigorous instruction and effective intervention strategies for students in grades 6 through 12. Our mission is to prepare our students not only for success in middle and high school but also to excel in college and beyond.

  • Mrs. Ahn

    ASSISTANT MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

We offer a broad range of academic supports and guidance throughout the middle school day. Our 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule allows us to spend valuable time with your students, not only focusing on rigorous academics but also incorporating social-emotional learning (SEL) techniques to help our students mature during their middle school years.

  • Mr. Tyson

    ASSISTANT UPPER SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Our upper school offers rigorous academics that challenge and prepare students for the demands of higher education. Equally important is our commitment to fostering a strong sense of community, and we believe that building close partnerships with parents is essential to our students' success.

The SEED School of Maryland is a uniformed school. We believe a consistent dress code helps create a sense of community, pride, and focus on learning. All students are expected to arrive in full uniform each school day, prepared for class and ready to represent SEED with excellence.

The SEED School of Maryland operates on a unique 24/5 model, designed to maximize both learning and enrichment for our scholars. Our academic day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, providing students with a full day of rigorous instruction and growth opportunities. On Fridays, students are dismissed at 2:00 p.m. to return home for the weekend.

Students check back in on Sunday evenings to prepare for the upcoming week, ensuring they are ready to fully engage in their academic journey when classes begin again Monday morning.

This schedule supports SEED’s mission to balance academic excellence with family time, community connections, and student well-being.
