A Thanksgiving Blessing for the SEED Community

Pro Football Hall of Famer and Ravens legend Ed Reed, along with the Ed Reed Foundation, once again helped ensure thousands of families could gather around their own tables to celebrate Thanksgiving during the recent holiday season.

The Foundation distributed full Thanksgiving meals to community members, including every family at the SEED School of Maryland. Each meal included everything needed to prepare a complete holiday dinner for a family of up to fifteen, with turkey, chicken, yams, stuffing, vegetables, dessert, and more.

Through Reed’s long-running Thanksgiving Blessings initiative, a total of 14,000 meals were distributed this year across Baltimore and New Orleans.

SEED is deeply grateful for the partnership and generosity of the Ed Reed Foundation and thankful to be part of this powerful, uplifting outreach that addresses food security and strengthens community care. A Baltimore icon who remains committed to giving back, Reed shared, “It’s about so much more than the food… it’s about families being able to get together for the holiday.”
